How to Effectuate Service of Process on a Corporation through the Registered Agent
In addition to the other methods prescribed by law, the Registered Agent of a given Corporation acts as the statutory agent for service of process. Often times, and more commonly with larger Corporations the Registered Agent may be a professional company hired for the specific purpose to accept legal documents on behalf of the Corporation.
